Renee Kathleen Zellweger

Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter of Kjellfrid Andreassen an ex-midwife and nurse in Norway. Her birth date was April 25 of 1969, in Katy. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is an engineer born in Switzerland. The couple got married in 1963. Renee has a brother named Drew Zellweger, a marketing executive who was born on February 15 1967. Renee got interested in acting in high school when she was a member of the drama group. She also attended an acting class at University of Texas (Austin) in Austin, and then began looking to pursue a career in acting. She wanted to pursue acting following graduation. But, Hollywood can be difficult to make it into and so Renee determined to remain in Texas and apply for roles around Houston. She was able to land roles in films like Reality Bites (1994), and Empire Records (1995). Matthew McConaughey was another Hollywood newcomer she met filming Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2: The Next Generation (1994). Renee watched him work on a project that caught her attention. She auditioned , and was awarded the role in Love and A.45 (1994). The role brought her critical acclaim for her to make the decision to move to Los Angeles. Her biggest break came when she was cast in another part in The Whole Wide World (1996). Cameron Crowe was busy casting Jerry Maguire (1996) with Tom Cruise. Crowe was thinking about the actresses Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder), and Marisa Tomei. He saw Zellweger's performance in The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was certain he had discovered the perfect Dorothy Boyd. Renee then followed her enormous success with a few small independent films. After receiving more praise from critics and confidence, she decided to return to the world of big-budget Hollywood films. She played opposite Meryl Streep in the tear-jerker One True Thing (1998). She also starred opposite Jim Carrey in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) and began to date Carrey soon afterward. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) as the title role.
