Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) she was an executive director for national operations
at Mary Kay, and Freddie Wright who was a pharmaceutical executive. She was
raised in San Diego, California. Her professional career began as a model in
the year 1980 aged 14 and worked both in Paris and Japan. After graduating high
school, she was a professional actress. She was offered a part on the soap
opera Santa Barbara (1984), for which she was nominated three times for a Daytime
Emmy. She was in love with Dane Witherspoon during the first season. They got
married in 1986. In addition, she appeared in The Princess Bride (1987) playing
the title character. She was cast as Santa Barbara but left to star in Denial
(1990) with Jason Patric. She got to know Sean Penn in 1990 while she was
appearing in State of Grace (1990). They had daughters Dylan Frances with him
and an infant son called Hopper Jack. After a break, Robin was back to
Hollywood with one of the greatest parts of her career: She played Tara in The
Playboys (1992). She was absolutely stunning and amazing. In the following
film, she appeared Toys (1992) in the film Toys (1992) with Robin Williams. She
gave an amazing performance. In 1994, Wright was in the blockbuster smash Forrest
Gump (1994), along with Tom Hanks. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award
in recognition of her performance as Jenny. She was offered a minor part in The
Crossing Guard (1995), with Jack Nicholson. After having rejected 14 roles, she
finally got the lead role in MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996). Pen Densham
directed her and Stockard Channing was the lead. She then starred alongside
William Hurt in Erin Dignam’s Loved (1997).
