Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American chef television personality and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde hair and an ebullient appearance, shares tips on how you can cook dishes that are restaurant quality at home using simple methods. Chef Burrell is also a part of the top New York eateries, been studying Italian cuisine and its traditions, and competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and eating at an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her following her graduation with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an unforgettable learning experience for me. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full year in Italy attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. The chef gained an knowledge of Italian culinary and cultural traditions throughout her time in Italy that has informed her style of cooking. Burrell participates on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of kids who struggle. She also is an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate, where she promotes awareness of young diabetics. Burrell speaks on her culinary love and imparts her knowledge of the culinary world when she is in the United States for the roles of mentors and speakers. Anne says she was incredibly fortunate in that she could be able to share her passion for cooking with others.
